God’s Gift 2U for Youth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mentoring programs for middle and high school students in the Greater Chicago area. Partnering with local school districts, our goal is to foster pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and a renewed sense of hope for the future. We believe that personal relationships can reestablish individual responsibility, helping youth transition to adulthood with pride and accomplishment.

Recognizing that at-risk youth often face repeated failures in the classroom and develop destructive habits, God’s Gift 2U aims to create a caring, inclusive learning environment that encourages their best efforts and reinforces personal respect. Our program directly addresses the increasing number of young people falling through the cracks in school by identifying those at risk of a turbulent transition to adulthood and providing a positive support system to help them avoid potential pitfalls.

 

Focusing primarily on middle school students, we aim to empower them to make positive changes in their lives. Within three years, we project that 50% of the students in our program will be in middle school, a critical period where mentoring can be especially effective.
